Supply Chain Module
This modules is used for functionality which spans across multiple logistics modules.
Use Cases
Add Intake Items
Recording Items into the system before they have physically arrived.
- Containers in a port.
- Committed donations.
- Items procured overseas by HQ to be shipped
Transit Inspection
A record of the physical inspection of a shipment of Items in transit, e.g.
- Someone checks a shipment as it arrives in port (although it has not been received at a WH)
- Someone inspects the items as they are in transit between 2 WHs
Item Catalog
A list of items which are used throughout the Logistics modules.
There should be functionality for different catalogs to be entered in the system, e.g. Red Cross's Catalog, Oxfam's Catalog, MSF's Catalog. Some items may be on more than one catalog.
All users should be able to add new items. These should be recorded, but verified (to ensure that they are valid and not duplicates) before they are added to a catalog.
The system should be able to import catalogs from various sources. A generic catalog could also be developed to deploy with the system.
Reports
Supply Chain Report
A report which provides complete end to end visibility and tracking from Source (Donor, Procurement or Other) to Distribution.
This may include information from the Intake, Procurement and Warehouse.
