Administrators should be familiar with Sahana's user privilege and situation management hierarchies and best practices for deployment.

These guides illustrate some of the important functions of the Administration module:

• Location Config - Disaster location configuration.
• GIS Config - Configure Sahana's situation mapping functionality.
• Localization - Language and language translation.

In addition, the administrator can:

• Set up disasters, events, and incidents;
• Add, remove and configure the modules permitted for the deployment; [Note - The Vesuvius version will shortly have a new Module Manager to do this.]
• Configure security policies for the Sahana installation;
• Handle advanced configuration options.
