Onboarding New Member Checklist

When new members are nominated, invited to join and accept Membership in the Sahana Software Foundation, there are a number of tasks that need completing. The following list is what needs to be done and identifies the person (role) responsible.

3 Invitation Those who receive enough votes are invited to become Members Member Coordinator
4 CLA Received Ensure CLA is stored in SSF Repository Member Coordinator
5 Application Completed Check that Membership Application has been completed Member Coordinator
6 Acknowledgement Acknowledge receipt of CLA and Membership Application from new Member Member Coordinator
7 Notify Secretary Notify Secretary of New Members Member Coordinator
8 Update Foundation: wiki Both list of persons returning CLAs and Membership roster Member Coordinator
9 Add to Members@ group Add new member to members@sahanafoundation.org group User Accounts Administrator
10 Announce Announce and welcome new member on members@sahanafoundation.org list Member Coordinator
11 Website news item Post news item on SSF website on new members (include short bio) SSF Website Content Editor
12 Wiki Members Group Add new member to “member” group on SSF wiki (gives access to member: namespace SSF Wiki Administrator
