Load Testing and Stress Testing process

A load testing and a stress testing process has successfully conducted for the SAHANA 0.6.2 stable release.load testing process performed using manually written scripts and for the stress testing process WebLoad tool is used.

Results of the Load Testing process

Load testing process is conducted using more than 20k load size for each module.both windows and linux platforms were used for the exercise. Testing process was conducted using pentium 4 /2GB ram computer running windows XP and a pentium 4/1GB computer running ubuntu

database insertions, output reports and GIS maps were extensively tested throughout the process.

GIS maps were correctly displayed up to around 2000 map markers.whenever the load size exceeded that level GIS maps failed to display. but other reports, pdf exports worked fine for about 40k load size

Results of the Stress Testing process

Stress testing was conducted using the WebLoad tool and both windows and linux environments were used.Testing process was conducted using pentium 4 /2GB ram computer running windows XP and a pentium 4/1GB computer running ubuntu.

different modules were separately tested and a mix of schedules was also retested.different levels of concurrent user accesses were modeled and output was analyzed to identify load size, response time, successful hits, failed hits…etc.

it was evident that the system would provide a healthy level of successful hits for a load level less than 750 concurrent accesses.Although the system test was not failed to a load level larger than 1000 concurrent accesses, the successful hits rate was dramatically reduced

following graphs would illustrate the system behavior for a load level 750 and 1000

Graph for 750 load size

Graph for 1000 load size
