Administration Module Guide - GIS Configuration
Setup parameters for the geographical information system (GIS) are accessed through the 'Mapping/GIS' tab.
Initial Installation of Google Maps [version 0.6.x]
Before Google Maps can be used, the administrator has to acquire a registered key for the Google Maps API (see figure), and install it through the provided GIS configuration link ( see 'Configuration of the Sahana Disaster Management System' for more). The default center location is also selected by entering longitude and latitude.
Initial Installation of OpenLayers [forthcoming version 0.7]
[More to add…] The default center location is also selected by direct map navigation. One should also choose the default zoom level and map mode (e.g., 'Map', 'Satellite', 'Hybrid' in Google Map terms).
