Resources Module

Page Administration User Interface

1. The log panel ~ This area displays notifications about what is going on as the module is being used. When a page is created, deleted, cloned, saved, etc… the log will indicate what changes have just taken place.

2. The control panel ~ This area has the buttons which act as the main controls to the module. Creating a new page, saving the edits, and switching editor views will be controlled here.

3. The main area ~ This area of the module contains the “Page Manager” as well as the Editor.










Page Management

1. “Create a new Page” ~ In order to create a page (a page which is one order below the main resource page) this button is clicked. From there, the editor will open and allow for the new page to be edited.

2. “Edit” ~ This button will navigate the user to the WYSIWYG/HTML editor for the page.

3. “Clone” ~ This tool duplicates the page (creates a new page with the exact same page title, menu title, page description, and page content. Once clicked, the page will be immediately created and opened in the editor.

4. “Delete” ~ When you no longer need a page, this tool will deleted it (be careful, there is no undo).

5. “Move Up/Down” ~ These controls will adjust the menu order of the page in question either elevating it or delevating it in the menu.









Editting a Page

1. “Save/Publish” ~ When editing has been finished clicking this button will save the page to the database and make it live on the front of the site.

2. “Close” ~ Will close the editor. If any changes have not been saved, they will be lost. Once changes have been saved, you click this to jump back to the Page Manager.

3. “WYSIWYG” / “HTML” ~ Use these buttons to toggle between the WYSIWYG editor and a plain text box for straight HTML coding editing.

4. “Menu Title” ~ This is the title of the page that is displayed on the menu item on the “front” of the site. A further explanation of where it appears is below in the next section.

5. “Page Title” ~ This title shows up two places: on the main Resources page as a link to the page, and also as the title when the page itself is being viewed. It appears as Resources : Page Title on the page itself.

6. “Page Description” ~ The text entered here appears on the main Resources page next to the page title as a longer description of what the page's content is.

7. “Editor” ~ This area will appears as the WYSIWYG editor or the plain HTML editor depending on which view is selected. The page's content is added/edited here.
