[Note 1] First implementation of PFIF 1.1, 1.2 concluding; expected completion of improved rewrite & modularization Summer 2010.

[Note 2] TEP has been submitted to OASIS for standardization 2nd Q 2010. TEC definition is just beginning. TEP in Sahana currently being discussed.

[Note 3] EDXL-SITREP prototype was developed and tested with the FreedomFone/Eden project; all documents including specifications can be found in the project page. Eden PMC will review the newly built (prototype) Eden-SitRep module with the existing IRS module and RM modules to determine the necessary changes.

[Note 4]

  • A EDXL-CAP-enabled Alerting Broker was developed in to Krakatoa and was maintained by LIRNEasia for research purposes and was field tested in the Real-Time Biosurveillance Pilot. Those module specification built a module capable of managing templates and delivering short-text, long-text, and voice-text CAP messages over SMS, Email, HTTP, and RSS. The CAP related research findings are documented in this video.
  • Thereafter, FreedomFone/Sahana project enhanced the Krakatoa Alerting Broker to deliver CAP voice-text messaged over an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system: Freedome Fone. The module was also enhanced to deliver short-text messages over Twitter. The supplement specifications for the CAP Alerting Broker are here. These specifications contain the IVR voice-text component.
  • A lab study was done to test CAP over HF, the prototype is documented in this video.
  • The module has been deprecated from all PHP projects; therefore, all developments will be ported to Eden (see Note 5).

[Note 5]

  • Plans are to build the EDXL-CAP module in to Eden. Google Code-In 2011 student developed the wireframe for the intended Eden module. Nuwan has to complete the CAP blueprint
  • Some preliminary/experimental work on the blueprint have been started here, just a repository to organize the ideas before porting the content to Eden wiki.
